Shenseea is mourning the death of her mother, who died on Thursday (June 25).
In a heartbreaking post on Instagram, the Jamaican artist announced the passing of her mom.
“Mommy ? my heart is BROKEN Mommy ?? broken ???? I never knew I had this much tears until this day! I ask God for strength just strength ???????? I love you Forever #RIP #RIP #RIP my mada and fada ina one!!! Jah know mi mada I’ll never forget you EVER! ??????? I ask everyone PLEASE if you see me in person don’t remind me of this my heart is weary,” Shenseea wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of her mother lying on a hospital bed.
The cause of her mother’s death is yet to be identified.
Instagram followers of the “Blessed” singer, including friends, fans, and celebrities alike, took to the comments section to express their condolences.
Shenseea’s manager Romeich Major of Romeich Entertainment commented, “Love u mommy ?.”
He further took to his account to write: “Its always hard to loose Love ones BUT GOD KNOWS best R.I.P to my second mom you have done greatness in your time on earth and you have given and raised a blessing to the world by the name of #ChinseaLee and you will be truely miss and as long as i have life i will continue making shen and raj happy and safe i know thats all yoi would want ??? ??? ??? #mommashenyeng ❤?❤️”
Dancehall artist Spice wrote, “WTF OMG ? why mi a refresh mi page over and over to read again ?????? @shenseea I’m soooooooo Sorry #RIP?????? I’m lost.”
Former Miss Jamaica World and Miss Jamaica Universe Yendi Phillipps also commented, “WHAT?!?! Shen I am soooooo soooooo sorry!!!❤❤❤???.”
Stefflon Don said, “Oh my God may her soul rest in peace sending you and your family love and strength!!!!! ?????.”

Shenseea, whose real name is Chinsea Lee, and her mother shared a close bond and were frequently seen in cheerful videos and pictures on the “Love I Got For You” singer’s social media accounts.
