21 Savage Biography

21 Savage is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Atlanta, Georgia.

He was born Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph on October 22, 1992, in East Atlanta. 21 Savage’s parents are Haitian and Dominican.

21 Savage rose to fame with his 2016 hit single “X,” which went on to become an international sensation with over 1 billion streams on Spotify. His first full-length album, “Issa Album,” released in 2017, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 charts. Other successful albums by 21 Savage include I Am I Was (2018), Without Warning (2017) and Slaughter King (2015).

In addition to his music career, he has also made cameos in films such as Billionaire Boys Club (2018) and Uncle Drew (2018) as well as a starring role in Superfly (2018). 21 Savage is also known for being a philanthropist and social activist who has advocated for raising awareness around violence prevention among minority communities.

He frequently speaks out against gun violence and helps support neighborhoods affected by it through organizations such as First Step ATL and Black Lives Matter protests. In 2020, he launched his own venture fund called Leading By Example Foundation to invest in tech companies that are led by people of color. He has also founded the “21 Savage Bank Account” campaign, which promotes youth financial literacy through education initiatives focused on teaching kids personal finance skills.
