Shenseea Is Yet To Meet Vybz Kartel Despite “Loodi”

Although Shenseea has remixed Vybz Kartel‘s songs “Loodi” and “Secret,” she is yet to meet or speak with the incarcerated deejay.

During a 2017 interview with Large Up, the “Trending Gyal” singjay revealed that she never had an opportunity, whether directly or indirectly, to speak with or communicate with the “Worl Boss” deejay.

In an interview with WildCat Sound, Shenseea disclosed how she got featured on “Loodi.”

“The collaboration with Vybz Kartel came about when Elvis from So Unique records contacted my manager (Romeich Major) to get me a feature on the song. The track was then sent to me and I modified some lyrics and showcased my talent throughout the song,” she explained.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Kartel’s imprisonment does not grant him much social gathering.

Also, it’s become a norm for producers to use email to arrange collaborations and transfer recordings for musicians. For instance, Shenseea was featured on “Right Moves,” a track from Christina Aguilera‘s eighth studio album “Liberation.” The collaboration was organized over email two years before the track was ever released in 2018, Shenseea revealed to Billboard last year summer.
