Vybz Kartel has released the official visuals for his new song, โTell Mommy.โ
The cinematic music video, directed by Chrome Video Entertainment and shot in May Pen, Clarendon, depicts two poverty-stricken and lawless brothers taking to the streets to illegally acquire cash before the authority guns down one, and the other is tasked to โtell mommyโ that her deceased son said that he โloves her.โ
The touching single, released on Friday (April 8), appears to be a tribute to Vybz Kartelโs mother, Teresa Palmer, who celebrated her birthday last week.

Vybz Kartelโs youngest son, AikoโDon Palmer, Short Boss Muzik, and Vybz Kartel Muzik are credited for the production of โTell Mommy.โ Grammy-nominated and US platinum-certified music producer, JonFX (John Alexander Crawford), created the riddim and mixed the track.
The Jamaican superstar, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, has been serving aย 35-year sentenceย on a murder conviction for the death of a former associate of his, Clive โLizardโ Williams, whose body was never found. The 46-year-old entertainer has maintained his innocence in the murder case and he is currently awaiting the United Kingdomโs highest court, the Privy Council, to review his appeal.
