The “All About The Money” deejay has allegedly been preparing to finalize the deal’s agreement before making an official announcement about partnering with the music imprint, according to online sources.
Sources are claiming that DJ Khaled recently made a radio announcement, stating that he is going to add stamina to Alkaline’s music career.
“New York City, Alkaline is officially signed to We the Best Music Group. Alkaline is a part of the family.”
“Alkaline already does great music, and I’m just gonna add some stamina to it, feed the streets, put some hits out.”
If this record label partnership is true, it will definitely bring Alkaline closer to some of the top entertainers in the Hip Hop such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Future and more.
However, there has been no official announcement from both parties.
Efforts to get a comment from Alkaline’s team proved futile.
In 2011, fellow Jamaican Dancehall entertainer Mavado announced that he had signed a deal with DJ Khaled’s record label We the Best Music Group.
In 2012, We the Best label signed a partnership with Birdman’s label Cash Money Records and is now an imprint of the YMCMB family and distributed by Epic Records and Republic Records.
Khaled said he is searching for new talent to add to the We The Best artist roster, which currently includes himself, Ace Hood, Mavado, Steph Lecor, Vado and Kent Jones.
