Buju Banton will return to the stage this year, starting March 16 in Jamaica.
Following his release from prison, his first concert takes place at the National Stadium in Kingston.
In January, thousands of tickets were quickly purchased after they went on sale via CaribTix.com and Buju’s official website, BujuBanton.com. The process then switched to physical sales at select Digicel stores earlier this month.
The organisers of Gargamel Music and Boom Energy Drink present Long Walk to Freedom in Jamaica recently revealed that tickets for the historic concert are almost completely sold out. With one month to go, the tickets for the VIP and grandstand areas are completely finished, and only a small number of tickets are still available for the general field and bleachers sections of the stadium.
With regard to the general ticket, which is priced at $12,500 and places the patron on the stadium football field, there are approximately 70 still available. Marlon Burke, a representative from Solid Agency, one of the producers of the event, told media reporters that these remaining tickets are available at the Digicel headquarters in downtown Kingston and at the Digicel store (Matate Holdings) in Tropical Plaza, Half-Way Tree, St Andrew.
Several other Buju Banton concerts across the caribbean are now confirmed as well as the famous SummerJam Festival in Germany.
