“My League,” produced by Good Good Productions, was Mavado’s hit for 2015. Singles such as “Up Like 7,” and “The Truth” were also commendable but it was a year when the deejay kept a low profile.
“Wi have a lotta crazy things plan, some wicked tune wha’ record already but wi waiting on the new year fi drop dem,” Mavado told media reporters.
“So Bazzle,” produced by Baby G (Trevor James) and the self-produced “Tatoo,” are two of the songs Mavado has great expectations for.
Without giving details, he said they may be part of an album he plans to release in 2016. It would be his first since 2009’s “Mr. Brooks…A Better Tomorrow.”
Through that connection, he has done several collaborations with Jay-Z, Akon andBusta Rhymes, strengthening his base in the Hip Hop market.
Hardcore songs like “On The Rock” and “Delilah” gave Mavado a foothold in the Hip Hop scene and caught the ears of heavyweights like Jay-Z and DJ Khaled.
