The ongoing legal battle with Mavado’s son, who is charged with the murder of Lorenzo Thomas, has just gotten worse.
The 16-year-old son of the Dancehall artist has been accused of giving his co-accused, Andre Hinds, an order to behead their murder victim.
A witness statement given to the Police has alleged that Mavado’s son directed that his victim be beheaded and reserved for the “boss.”
“Memba di boss want him head,” the juvenile allegedly said to Hinds.
The statement further alleged that Hinds attempted to carry out the order but only managed to partially sever Thomas’s head.
The teenager denied the allegations when he appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Wednesday (June 27).
The deejay’s son has been remanded in custody until next week Wednesday when an application for bail, which began today, is to resume, according to his laywer Bert Samuels.
Allegations are that Mavado’s son and Hinds visited Mr. Thomas’s Cassava Piece home and murdered him. Both are charged with conspiracy to murder, arson, shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Meanwhile, Mavado, says he will turn himself into police under one condition, his attorney Tamika Harris told media reporters.
His defense representative recently disclosed that the artist is preparing to return to Jamaica to be questioned by police regarding a shooting incident in Cassava Piece, but he has indicated to “he does not want the media to know when.”
