Nicki Minaj is still a huge fan of Vybz Kartel and she is proving it on her latest album Queen!

has massive respect for and the rapper proved it on her latest album “Queen.”

Earlier this month, the “Chun Li” rapper’s released her latest album “Queen,” on which she highlighted her Caribbean roots by paying homage to a number of Jamaican artists including Vybz Kartel on the project.

Nicki Minaj shouts out the incarcerated Dancehall superstar in the verse of one of her album’s standout tracks, “Coco Chanel,” which features veteran rapper, Foxy Brown.

The Trinidadian rapper calls for the “Worl Boss” deejay to be freed.

“Illest to ever do it, tell’ em fi recognize, Run a Kartel, Dem fi free up Vybz,” she raps.

Also, the Young Money rapper shouted out a list of other Caribbean superstars in the outro of the track including , Mavado, , Super Cat, Machel Montano, and Reggae legend .

“Coco Chanel” has a strong Caribbean sound as it sees the rapper spitting bars in Jamaican patios on a beat which samples the classic 90’s “Showtime” Riddim, which is produced by Dave Kelly.

Nicki Minaj and Vybz Kartel are yet to work together on a collaboration. However, it is evident that the two are big fans of each other.

The hitmaker previously collaborated with other Jamaican superstars such as , Mavado and Beenie Man.

Vybz Kartel recently commenced his appeal case, which sought to challenge his life sentence for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. The “Fever” deejay is currently awaiting his verdict from a panel of judges.
