Etana Collapsed and Hospitalised in Miami

Hype Life Magazine has gathered that singer recently experienced a blackout.

The Jamaican entertainer was released from a hospital in Miami, US, yesterday morning.

She had been at home, packing suitcases, and preparing for her return to Jamaica for JaRIA’s Reggae Wednesday showcase, when she felt dizzy and then suddenly, fainted. She blacked out for several minutes.

“I called 911 while trying to revive her, and after a few minutes, the paramedics came and they took care of her, and put her in the ambulance and rushed her to the hospital,” Andre Morris, Etana’s husband and manager, said.

The doctors ran a battery of tests, and kept her a few hours for observation before finally releasing her later in the day.

“I just want my fans to know that I am alright, and I will be strong enough to perform at the private Stop Ebola and Build For the Future concert. The doctors said it was just a combination of dehydration and exhaustion, just stress,” Etana said.

The concert will be held at the United Nations General Assembly Hall on March 2.

Meanwhile the Singer managed to complete a successful European tour that saw her performing alongside veteran reggae artiste Mykal Rose at club shows all over the continent.

The tour climaxed with a sold-out performance at a major club in Amsterdam, Holland. While on tour, Etana did a combination with noted French reggae artiste Yanis Adua.

The Reggae Singer will return to Europe this Summer to perform at the major reggae festivals.
