Actress Rose McGowan was indicted in Virginia on one count of cocaine possession.
The Charmed actress was arrested last November after belongings allegedly left behind by her on a flight arriving at Dulles airport, Washington tested positive for illegal drugs.
McGowan was travelling for the Women’s March in January when traces of cocaine were allegedly found on a wallet.
Speaking last year the actress hit out at the warrant, calling it “a load of horses**t” on Twitter.
“Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSES**T,” she wrote.
Last year she became one of the leading voices in the #MeToo campaign after being named in a New York Times expose as one of the women who settled sexual harassment suits with Harvey Weinstein.
Weinstein, 66, has since pleaded not guilty to rape and criminal sex charges.
“Rose steadfastly maintains her innocence. These charges would have never been brought if it were not for her activism as a voice for women everywhere. I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defense,” McGowan’s attorney Jose Baez said in a statement.
McGowan voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Virginia in November in response to an arrest warrant.
She later pleaded not guilty to the charge.
