Attorneys representing Vybz Kartel are set to present their main arguments in his appeal case later this month, according to sources.
The incarcerated Jamaican entertainer’s appeal trial is scheduled to be heard on February 19, 2018, in the Jamaica Appeal Court.
Prior to the appeal case, lawyers representing the defendants and the prosecution were ordered to submit their skeletal arguments and file their authority in July or the latest sometime throughout the summer.
This will give the judges adequate time to review their submissions ahead of the case.
Representatives of the entertainer have expressed confidence in the work of the artist’s legal team, revealing that they are already in the process of preparing the necessary documents, and everything is on schedule.
According to sources close to Kartel’s camp, the “Worl Boss” deejay has been in good spirits and is trying to remain positive ahead of his vastly important appeal trial.
Also, he has reportedly implored his fans to keep him in their prayers.
Vybz Kartel and four other men were sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
