Canadian star The Weekend has ditched his iconic hair for a fresh new look as he unveils the cover for his new album, “Starboy.”

Fans never thought that would chop his locks off but when you have a new album coming out you do whatever you need to do to bring more attention to it.

Shot by photographer, Nabil, the cover art for Starboy features The Weeknd in dark blue and black tones with a crucifix necklace, contrasted by a bright red background and mustard “Starboy” title.

The Weeknd have been known for his hairstyle since his breakaway, but on Wednesday (Sept. 21) the “Often” singer posted an album promo pic of his trimmed hair on Instagram sending his fans into a frenzy.
