Cleopatra Bernard, the mother of late rapper XXXTentacion, recently purchased a stunning $3.4 million mansion in Florida that her son had picked for her.
XXXTentacion had visited the 15,000-square-foot home that features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms and wanted it for Cleopatra, according to court documents.
Cleopatra reportedly paid for the home in full, which it is located near several other houses that the late 20-year-old rapper had purchased for other relatives.
The XXXTentacion’s mother Cleopatra recently announced that Florida-based-rapper’s girlfriend is pregnant with a baby boy and many were hoping that she would invest his fortune for it to grow so the baby could inherit it.
Fans chimed in on the new purchase, expressing mixed reactions.
“How is she going to keep up with the taxes… his royalties aren’t going to get her thru for the long run. So instead of saving that bread for his unborn child, she bought herself a house that she won’t be able to afford in a year or two. Smart move,” one person told XXXtentacion’s mom.
“Yes but that is an extremely large house worth 3.4 mil which means higher taxes, and much higher utilities. I doubt this will last her a lifetime,” a second follower stated.
“Plain stupid move- poor financial move- she bought a big liability -May as well sell that ish, buy a nice little condo and keep the extra cash. I doubt she’ll be able to keep up with the gardening and pool maintenance let alone the property taxes. Yeesh. 2 years tops we will seeing its in foreclosure,” another person expressed.
“Like cmon now. Spending all his money that quickly and his girlfriend claims she got a baby on the way… they gonna be broke soon. She could have bought a nice modest house and paid for it in full and would be good forever with the rest of his money. She should have called me. I could have sold her that same house in Atlanta for 500k. Lol,” a fourth individual had this to say.
XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jaseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a motorcycle dealership in June following a robbery. Four men have been arrested for the crime.
